Happy Memorial Day! We decided to get out and enjoy nature today. We went up Waterfall Canyon. It was supposed to be 1.5 miles up, but somewhere along the way, we took a wrong turn so we pretty much made it to the top of the hill and across to the next ridge as well looking down on Ogden the whole time. It was a really neat view. We passed the occasional jogger or moutain biker, but it was pretty much just ours. By the time we met up with the hoards of people on the right trail, we were pooped, but we kept trekking up and were well rewarded with an amazing waterfall! Jaxon was such a trooper and hiked pretty much the whole way! (probably 5 miles) Needless to say, the rest of the day, we were just pooped and had pizza delivered for our Memorial Day dinner. We are hoping to make these hikes a more regular occurance.

Way to make some memories. Sounds like you had a great day. I would have loved to have been there for the view. We rented a wheelchair for me at the zoo in Omaha, so maybe that wouldn't have been too good of an idea to be stuck up on a mountain with no one wanting to carry me back. Keep making memories, and sending the pictures our way to enjoy.

Happy Birthday Jaxon! I can't believe he's 4 years old already. Man how time flies and yet, it's hard to imagine our lives without him. He's getting so big! We are so proud of the little man he's becoming. Merry Christmas! We are so thankful this time of year for all of our many blessings. Mark is thankful to have his MBA and to be done with school forever! He’s also thankful to be working for the church in the Planning Division as a Product Manager. Krista is thankful to be able to stay home with 3 rambunctious boys everyday. She enjoys serving in the Primary Presidency. She was also grateful to get away to Mexico with her hubby in May. Jaxon is 5 and thankful for preschool. He’s getting so smart especially with math J and is constantly trying to learn new things. He’s also thankful for sports, video games, and cutting things out. Dylan is almost 3 and thankful for life.
