The end of a school year
As school finished up last month, life was full of spotlights, programs, and performances for each child. Here are a few highlights for these kiddos. Scroll further to reach all the kids!
Lucy turned 6 while we were here and we had a few celebrations for her. When we found out Philip (a favorite YSA and Mark's Stake YM secretary) shared her birthday of course we celebrated it together! She also some of her favorite friend's families over for swimming the day before.

Lucy loved her teacher Mrs. Linda and assistant Ms. Nana
Here's Lucy and her best friend from class Dalitso at
Kindergarten (or just KG as they call it here) Graduation
A fun action shot my friend Kylee managed to get of her from field day
Bradyn's grade put on a musical. Here's a snapshot of his singing debut.
Bradyn and his teacher Mr. Andy. He said he liked him almost as much as Mrs. Wilkinson and Mrs. Hancock ;) He had a great time in class and made many friends.
They put on a storyfest telling stories through different means. His group was adrinka fabric storytelling.
Bradyn unbeknownst to us, signed up for the makerfaire projects with his group of friends. This extra talent show/ project fair became a great way to learn and grow and he became great friends with these guys.
Bradyn has really embraced life here. When we were planning to move from Utah, he said he only wanted to come for a week. Then slowly we talked him into more time til he finally agreed upon a year. Now I don't know that we'll ever get him to leave!
Dylan for grade 5 here got to participate in a grade 5 exhibition project where they took real world problems and studied and addressed them and put plans into action. His group addressed quality education and addressed the educational needs around the world and in Africa and then spent a day visiting a local school and putting their ideas into action. (Look how cute they are in their matching fabric outfits they had made)
Grade 5 finishes elementary school here so here he was at elementary graduation (grade 5 moving up ceremony)
And here is his great teacher Mrs. Monica who said he is such a blessing in class and called me one lucky mom and that I must be doing something right.
Here is Jaxon at his science fair. They started projects the week we arrived so we were grateful to his teacher's willingness to provide materials and ideas/help for his project. His bean growing became our first house plants.
Jaxon really found his place here once basketball season started. It didn't take him long to create a name for himself.
And then once again at Lincoln Academy sports awards night he was recognized as the season MVP. Coach Godwin has been impressed with his skills and his work ethic. He said in 5 years of coaching he's never seen someone come to practice time after time ready to work so hard.
We finally hit Lord of the Wings which is down the street from us as a celebration that night with a couple of our favorite families and his friends.
